LORD, BE MY HELPER
The Blessings of God are truly wonderful;
Our hearts must learn to be ever grateful.
But being sinful and foolish we are deceived;
We think that by our efforts we have achieved.
Serious problems in life arise, and we are reminded;
Sin and deception may have caused us to be blinded.
Without the LORD’s help we could lose our very life;
Without His grace and mercy we cannot survive.
With a repentant heart we turn to the LORD;
We need to plead for forgiveness from our God.
His mercy is what has caused us to be sustained;
We need much Divine help just to be maintained.
We must cry out humbly to the LORD, our Helper;
He is our strong, great and blessed Supporter.
May we realise just how much we need the LORD!
There is no one like our great and glorious God!
