LET MY VINDICATION COME FROM YOUR PRESENCE
There are times when we may feel hurt greatly;
Accusations are hurled at us, and wrongfully.
These may come from enemies out to destroy;
Falsehood, lies, barbed remarks, they employ.
We feel hurt and stunned when these words come;
The danger is to nurse anger that boils under the sun.
Some retaliate and resort to evil means for defense;
It is hard to deny that we hurt, that is only pretense.
The wisest thing to do is to turn to God in prayer;
Pray because we believe that God does care.
And as we pray, we must also examine our life;
Let us be sure that we are not guilty of strife.
Our vindication will come from God indeed;
He knows our pain and our every need.
He will hear our prayer and clear our name;
He stands with us and we need not be ashamed.
