HOPE IN GOD
We are created with both Body and Soul;
Through salvation, we are made whole.
We stand forgiven and righteous before God;
We are fully justified by our gracious Lord!
But we face many great odds in life;
There are challenges and great strife.
The Soul can sometimes become thirsty;
We need to find afresh, God’s mercy.
God has given to us both Faith and Hope;
With these in hand, we can more than cope.
Hope in the heart helps us see Tomorrow;
From God’s store of strength, we may borrow.
Hope in God may be fed with powerful memories;
The blessings of life alleviate feelings of misery.
Our Hope in God will cause us to sing again;
The LORD will give to our Soul a joyous refrain!
