HE DWELLS BETWEEN THE CHERUBIM

“The LORD reigns” was a theme of the Psalmists;

They went far beyond acknowledging that God exists.

This was a faith that they held close to their heart;

Their knowledge of God as King they sought to impart.

“The LORD reigns” in heaven attended by a mighty host;

But He also reigns in Zion, and from coast to coast.

His reign is awesome and all on earth should tremble;

Before the Great and mighty King, all should be humble.

“The LORD reigns,” but His presence is humbly portrayed;

The Ark of the Covenant had cherubim, with gold overlaid.

The Cherubim were mighty angels who stood before God;

They were prepared to do every bidding of the LORD.

In the world, there may a morbid fear of a deadly disease;

Great havoc lies in its wake and many are ill at ease.

Let us exercise faith in this word, “The LORD reigns!”

Our faith in the LORD God would never be in vain.”
