GOD MY EXCEEDING JOY
There may be times that bring on depressive feelings;
But these can be overcome with greater understanding.
We can stop negative feelings from taking root in our heart;
The Lord can bid all these negative thoughts to depart!
Our knowledge of God must stand us in good stead;
We do not need to give up because of the wicked!
The deeper our understanding of the Lord;
The greater would be our faith in our God.
Our faith in God will enable us to face great odds;
We must exercise great trust in our great God.
He will help us fend off fears and dark feelings;
We can find a Joy that is truly greatly exceeding!
God Himself is the Source of exceeding Joy;
This Joy that He gives is without any alloy.
Thank God for His matchless mercy;
To the LORD our Joy, we must give glory!
