DELIVER ME
Sometimes, recurrent problems are faced;
There is a desperate need for much grace!
Wickedness abounds and there seems no end;
How we need the Lord, our prayers, to attend!
We may be innocent victims of wickedness;
Evil does not care if one is righteous.
Iniquity is such that it will persist in sin;
There is corruption from deep within.
We must be driven to greater prayer;
Our hearts need not give in to despair!
We must believe that God hears;
And that to the godly, He is near!
The LORD is great and mighty;
He heads a mighty heavenly army.
He will not be silent amidst wickedness;
He will arise to help the righteous!
