CLOUDS AND DARKNESS SURROUND HIM
“The LORD reigns!” This provided powerful inspiration;
The Psalmists gave this much thought in contemplation.
That God reigns must cause the heart to give a happy shout;
Even the smallest of isles in remote places are not left out!
“The LORD reigns!” This is a truth of great power;
This is worth meditating upon, hour after hour.
Clouds have the ability to give shelter from the sun;
To be blistered by scorching heat is certainly no fun.
“The LORD reigns!” Darkness would sometimes hide His glory;
But in the darkness of midnight, the Lord grants great mercy.
God’s throne has a foundation based on justice and righteousness;
He reigns in great power and majesty but never in unfairness!
“The LORD reigns!” This was a theme in “The Song of Moses.”
God had triumphed and the Egyptians suffered heavy losses.
Let us be challenged to give time to meditate on God’s reign;
Our faith in the LORD our God would never be in vain!
