BY THE WORD OF THE LORD
The word of man may seem truly powerful;
It can create consequences that are awful.
Countries go to war and cause great suffering;
The word of man can be a very wicked thing.
The word of God brings forth beautiful creation;
The earth is created on the most solid foundation.
The heavens display God’s great creative power;
All things are well-sustained, every single hour.
All God needs to do is to speak and it is done;
The power of the LORD is great and awesome;
The fear of God needs to be cultivated;
Man often takes the Lord for granted.
The power of the Lord is also in the Scriptures;
The attributes of the Lord have profound features.
May we read His word and discover afresh,
The power that enables us to be refreshed!
