BOW DOWN YOUR EAR, O LORD

How important it is to learn how to pray correctly;

Then would our prayers not be unanswered truly.

There is much to learn from the Psalmist David;

He practised being truly honest and candid!

Though David was a king, yet he knew his place;

He had to exercise true humility as he sought God’s face.

He confessed that he was but a “poor and needy” man;

He would exercise trust in God’s divine plans.

He prayed to the Lord to One who was close and personal;

His prayers were never ever shallow or superficial.

He prayed as one who was holy and consecrated;

Of a true servant of God, this was expected.

There are times when we truly need “salvation,”

Situations in life may cause us to feel desperation.

The Lord would indeed bow down His ear;

The cries of His humble servants, He will hear!
