Call Upon Me In The Day Of Trouble
God knows the trials and tribulations we have in life,
He understands our fears and sadness in times of strife.
We are to remember that He is “The Mighty One, God the LORD,”
We are urged to cry out to Him with a faith built on a solid Rock.
True worship will see our hearts filled with strength and hope,
We can believe that God will give us grace that we might cope.
God delights to hear the prayers of His saints calling upon Him,
He will deliver His saints and give to their eyes a triumphant gleam.
The saints of old have experienced His deliverance time and again,
They had every reason to write glorious and historic refrains.
Dare we believe that God would hear and answer our prayers today?
Our worship of God would be so precious, our heart would not be in decay.
God wants His saints to receive the blessings that He has in store,
The problem we must address is our defective view of God, that is the core!
When we are restored to God we will be able to see how He will bless again,
Our worship of God would be dynamic, we will once again sing a joyous refrain!
