Be Still And Know That I Am God

“Be still…!” How easy it is to read this word of God,

But how hard it is for to truly “be still” before the Lord.

When the body is racked with pain it is hard to “be still”

Yet, there is no mistaking what is His holy divine will.

“Be still…!” How deep are these words of the Lord!

The Spirit whispers gently, “Seek the Face of God.”

The heart is moved, the mind remembers and humbly prays,

“Your face, Lord, I will seek.” I will commune without delay.

“Be still and know that I am God!” What a profound thought!

The heart must learn to bow in humble submission as it ought.

The pain continues, the distress does not go away at all,

But the soul remains steady, it will seek to fulfil His call.

“Be still…!” What profound lessons God seeks to impart!

Sometimes in joy, and sometimes with great pain in the heart;

The soul is made stronger and wiser for having felt great pain,

Deep lessons of ministry and faith in God are not learned in vain!
