BLESSED ARE THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE JOYFUL SOUND
How blessed we are to be called the people of the Lord!
How wonderful to know that we can be so blessed by God!
In love He has chosen and called each one by name;
Of His beloved brethren He will never be ashamed!
How blessed we are to know the joyful sound!
With joy and love, His saints, He surrounds.
He watches over His own with great attention;
He pours out on them His Divine affection!
How blessed we are to walk in the light of His countenance!
And in His favour we find strength in every circumstance.
We may rejoice greatly that in His power and His might;
He will watch over His children through the darkest night.
How blessed we are that we may rejoice all day long!
In the most trying of times He gives a joyous song.
May we never fail to give thanks to our great God!
