AS YOU HAVE SENT ME
AS YOU HAVE SENT ME
Jesus thought of how His Father had sent Him,
The vast amount of work His memory did not dim.
His Father had sent Him to serve with a heart of love,
He showed great affection to all without reserve.
His Father had sent Him with a great message to tell,
He told many how their souls could be made well.
There were so many who were far from the Kingdom of God,
The Father had sent Him to gather in the sheep of His flock.
The ministry of Jesus was not to be free from pain,
The suffering of the Son of Man was all too plain.
But this was part of the Father’s plan of grace,
Jesus willingly fulfilled all to save the human race.
He was now sending out the disciples whom He had taught,
He knew their fears could cause their hearts to be distraught.
He sent them the Holy Spirit to be their Teacher true,
He would teach them and guide them in all that they do.
