THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE
The conflicts between Jesus and His enemies were many,
Words of accusation were hurled at Jesus aplenty.
Wicked words and all untrue were spoken against His name,
The enemies worked hard and sought to destroy His fame.
They contended with Jesus at every turn,
The words they used would cause the ears to burn.
Jesus knew where the true problem lay,
Their sins had caused their souls to decay.
Lovingly He sought to reveal God’s word to them,
All they needed to do was listen and from sin repent.
If only they would learn, from their sin to flee,
They would appreciate how His word would make them free.
They rejected His call to follow Him,
Thus they remained entrapped by sin.
The words of Jesus has power to free,
Even those in bondage to Satan’s tyranny.
