LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED
LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED
The mind is troubled at the somber thought of death,
The heart is not ready to see a loved one draw the last breath.
The soul is unable to find complete peace,
Even if people speak of the final release.
There seems to be so much more to learn,
Time with each other the heart truly yearns.
The heart is troubled and it cannot rest,
Until the Master explains what is best.
Life on earth is real and precious indeed,
God was with us in all our times of need.
Lovingly He has cared for us each day,
We must believe He will lead us all the way.
Life on earth is a gift that must be treasured,
But God’s plan is for life that cannot be measured.
The time we spend on earth is all too short,
But eternity with God is what Christ brought.
Can the heart truly find comfort, though overwrought?
Jesus came to earth to comfort hearts that are distraught.
Thank God for the promise of a home in heaven,
We must remove the doubts that act like leaven.
The heart is less troubled now as it meditates,
Faith in the word of Jesus truly facilitates.
Let there be peace within the soul,
The troubled and divided heart is now made whole.
