I MUST WORK
God devised a glorious plan to bless mankind,
He always had the welfare of man in mind.
But sin and Satan blighted the blessings He intended,
The problems in life had long been unattended.
Jesus knew God’s great plan and it became His mission,
He determined that this would be His life’s ambition.
Thus He resolved within His heart… “I must work”
No matter how challenging, God’s work He would not shirk.
Doing the work of God would be an all-consuming passion,
This was His food that fueled His drive and compassion.
He partook of a food that few people understood,
To fill each day with the work of God was what He undertook.
He felt the challenge of time that passed by so swiftly every day,
He must make full use of every moment, touching hearts as He may.
“I must work the works of Him that sent Me” was on His mind,
This gave Jesus the strength and compassion to reach the blind.
