DO YOU ALSO WANT TO GO AWAY?
With deep sadness Jesus saw the disappearing crowd,
They had followed Him so closely, though a little loud.
But now there was silence as the people walked away,
He asked His disciples if they wanted, with Him, to stay.
Peter answered strongly for all the rest,
They had discovered Jesus- He was the best!
Who else could speak the words He did?
His every word breathed life indeed.
They had come to believe that Jesus was the Son of God,
They would cling to their faith in Him with no discord.
They would never forsake Him no matter who else did,
They were convicted by His words and deeds!
The heart of Jesus was deeply moved that day,
When He heard what His disciples had to say.
He was glad that they had learned to make a stand,
Their faith in Him they would earnestly defend.
