BEHOLD, THE LAMB OF GOD!
I was born to fulfill a destiny,
My birth itself was a Divine mystery.
In God’s plan He made me a forerunner,
My task was to proclaim The Messiah.
I preached to the multitudes who came,
Many lived in degradation and shame.
I spoke of the need from sin to repent,
I also spoke of how God, from wrath, would relent.
One day, a Man came to the River to look for me,
I heard a Voice whisper, “This is He!”
My heart resonated, I knew who this Man was,
He was none other The Messiah, of course!
With a mighty voice I cried out, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”
Many hearts were moved and faith was restored.
The Spirit of God descended on Him like a dove,
This was the gracious Messiah, the Son of His love.
He arose from the waters with great power,
The Spirit of God filled Him from that hour.
The Lamb of God had come to fulfill God’s plan,
Jesus had come to save the souls of men.
