AND WE BEHELD HIS GLORY

AND WE BEHELD HIS GLORY

The birth of Jesus was significant but few truly perceived,
The scribes knew about His birth place but did not believe.
King Herod reacted and sought to kill the Child,
The Shepherds responded and saw the Baby Shepherd mild.

Jesus grew up quietly as God had planned,
Soon, in time, He would be presented as the Son of Man.
He was proclaimed as The Lamb of God,
We knew and believed in Him as the Lord.

We heard His call to follow Him,
That invitation was like a dream!
We left all behind immediately,
We responded with a sense of urgency.

As we followed, our hearts were filled with mirth,
There was none like Him in all the earth.
We saw Him close-up, face to face,
We were touched by truth and grace.

His words of truth were spoken with great power,
The blessings of God, upon many, He did shower.
We beheld His glory and we proclaim,
There is no salvation in any other name.
