I Have Loved You With An Everlasting Love
What does it mean when God made this declaration?
“I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
What were His thoughts, what were His intentions?
The promise of everlasting love is a gift from heaven above!
His love would preserve the remnant who truly love the Lord,
But death would be the lot of those who choose to go astray.
The remnant may be in the wilderness, but they will find the grace of God,
The everlasting love of God will remain strong; it will never decay.
His love would be expressed in lovingkindness that will touch the heart,
But the wicked would never understand the matchless grace of God.
The love of the Lord will always be with the remnant, it will never depart.
But those who choose to rebel will not comprehend the ways of the Lord.
The Lord will rebuild what had been destroyed because of sin,
The new structure will remain strong and it will never fall.
A new work is what God will do and He begins with cleansing from within,
How we must praise the good Lord and on Him determine to call!
