#11 YOU WILL LIGHT MY LAMP
Darkness is always around us, and we cannot easily see;
Wisdom teaches us to pray and to God we bring our plea.
The need for Light is plain, whether a subject or a King;
The cry for Light amidst darkness has a familiar ring.
How wonderful it is to have this assurance in the soul;
The Lord will indeed light our Lamp and make us bold.
Darkness will give way to the rays of Light from God;
We never fear to walk in faith, if we know the LORD!
The LORD will enlighten our darkness in answer to prayer;
He will make His Presence felt; He will always be there!
This brings so much hope and strength to the heart;
Hold fast to this hope; From us He will never depart!
The experience of many who have walked in the Light,
Brings great hope and cheer in the darkest night.
God will bring light in the great expanse of darkness;
He will give us His strength in His lovingkindness!
