YOU SHALL BE MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL BE YOUR GOD
Correction was necessary for the justice of God to be fulfilled,
He cannot allow sin to go unpunished, that was revealed!
Chastisement may be difficult and painful to bear,
But God’s comfort is promised; He will be there!
The challenge would be to accept the chastisement of God,
The mistake would be to always complain to the LORD.
Sins must be dealt with for they are deadly to the life of the soul,
God will forgive, but He needs to chastise to make one truly whole!
God promised to restore health and wounds would be healed,
Though many promises were given, they would all be fulfilled!
God will glorify His people and they would not be small,
He would crown them with glory, if on Him, they call!
He would bless the children and cause nobles to arise,
They would be established, on them He would train His eyes.
He would cause His people to draw near to Him as the LORD,
They would then know that He is truly the Almighty God!
