#8: OBEY MY VOICE
How may we become God’s People, we may rightly ask,
How may He be our LORD God, what is our divine task?
This is an important question we do well to raise,
Finding the correct answer would lead to great praise!
A common mistake is to think that God only wants worship,
We can neglect other things, as long as we have fellowship!
God challenged these lines of thought and offers correction,
The most important thing is to obey Him and heed His direction.
God sent many prophets to teach His people the way to walk,
These great servants of the Lord did more than just talk!’
They lived out their faith by obeying the Word of the LORD,
They constantly prayed and sought to obey their great God!
There is nothing greater than obedience to the voice of God,
No matter how great the sacrifice, it is still not the way of the Lord.
He calls us to walk in obedience to His glorious will revealed,
To the faithful, nothing that leads to blessing would be concealed!
