#6: I WILL NOT MAKE A COMPLETE END OF YOU
Some promises of God are truly glorious,
But the glory of some are not so obvious.
The work of redemption from death is wonderful,
God delivering us from sin is truly beautiful.
But when sin sets in and we backslide perpetually,
The anger of the Lord must be faced eventually.
But there was a gentle promise that God prepared,
“I will not make a complete end of you!” He said.
There will be punishment that must be borne,
His chastisement must be spurned or scorned.
Chastening is a work that the Lord undertakes,
Cleansing of our life, is always done, for our sake!
What a wonderful promise God has given to His own,
There may be sadness, and amidst sorrow, we groan.
God would fulfil His word, both great ones and small,
He bids us remember what He said, and on Him call!
