THE NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD
Israel had failed to appreciate their Covenant with God,
Time and again, they broke their promise to the LORD.
They forgot their LORD, forsook Him and fell into apostasy.
God had to chastise Israel and Judah for their hypocrisy!
A New Covenant was promised to the Remnant Redeemed,
God would fully forgive and make their conscience clean!
He would now write upon their mind and their heart,
He pledged everlasting love; He would not, from them, depart!
Few understood the cost that would have to be paid!
Upon a cruel cross, Jesus would have to be laid!
The New Covenant was sealed by holy blood Divine,
With tender love, the Lord seeks His children to refine!
The New Covenant must not be taken for granted at any time,
It would truly be a grave sin, if we disdain God’s grace sublime.
May our hearts be deeply moved to ponder the price Jesus paid!
His hands and feet bore the nails, when on the Cross He was laid!
