FAITHFULLY FOLLOWING THE LORD
The Twelve who were appointed are often given respect;
There were women disciples too; These we must not neglect!
They too came to believe in the Lord and faithfully followed;
Their lives had been touched too, and their true faith glowed.
They knew the needs of the Lord Jesus as only women could;
They decided to provide for all His needs as they should.
They would see to His physical need for food and clothing;
They would do their part with tender love, with no begrudging!
The Lord had healed them of infirmities and given them Life;
They had been delivered from the wicked world of strife.
Faithfully, they followed after Jesus all the way from Galilee;
They did not mind the long journey, they followed faithfully.
They were there when Jesus their Lord was crucified;
Many were the copious tears shed when they cried;
They followed and noted where their beloved Master was laid;
Their hearts were broken; they held fast to their faith instead!
