My God, O King
We bid farewell to another fruitful year of life.
Thank God for His protection from hostile strife.
Let us extol the Lord for His deep love and care,
How we must bless Him for strength to bear!
The Lord has wonderfully provided for all our needs,
He has proven that He is a faithful God indeed!
There may have been trials that seemed hard to bear,
But we have coped and we know that He is always there!
The Lord has been true to the covenant He has given,
How blessed we are to have a glorious hope of heaven.
It is right that we end the year with praise and prayer,
How uplifting to know that the Lord is always there.
Let us shed our fears and unbelief from our heart,
These feelings threaten to tear our lives apart
It is wonderful to have faith to say, “My God, O King,”
Never be ashamed to speak of faith as a living thing!
