THE PROCESSION OF GOD
David had a strong military background;
He brought in thirty thousand men to surround
The Ark of the Testimony as it was brought in;
But the procession turned out badly because of sin.
The Ark of the Testimony was sacred to Israel;
That it was brought to Jerusalem seemed surreal.
The Procession was not fully comprehended;
The king had taken too many things for granted.
The LORD had given clear instructions;
One must not be carried by his emotions.
Meaning well is not the focal point at all;
One must give heed to God’s word or fall!
David learned a huge lesson along the way;
He must seek the Lord humbly every day.
The Procession of God was attempted again;
There was now a great singing of happy refrains!
