I WILL GATHER THE REMNANT OF THE FLOCK
A Holy Communion Poem
Lovingly, the LORD makes reference to His sheep;
Shepherds had been entrusted the sheep to safely keep.
But the shepherds had failed in the task entrusted;
The heart of the LORD was deeply angered and stirred.
The LORD Himself would search for His flock that was driven away;
He spared no effort to search for all the sheep that had gone astray.
He would gather the remnant of His flock from all countries;
They will be brought back to the fold and fed most faithfully.
He would bless them so that they would be fruitful and multiply;
He would ensure that they would always have adequate supply.
He would give them good shepherds who would feed His flock;
Tenderly, He would care for them as the Great Shepherd of God.
The sheep would not need to be gripped by fear of predators;
They would not feel dismay for the Lord would be their Protector.
How wonderful to know this wonderful Shepherd of our souls;
He will fulfil His promises and He would make us truly whole.
