Wells Of Salvation
The world is sometimes like a great wilderness,
The sun can be very unforgiving in its harshness.
The nights can be bitterly uncomfortable and cold,
Surviving in the world is only for the truly bold.
The eye scans for a source of water that means salvation
Without the water of life, the heart beats in trepidation.
It is not gold or silver that matter to the weary traveler,
It is finding a well that will bring great joy to the latter.
Far in the distance there seems a semblance of an oasis.
But could this be a mirage caused by a great deep thirst?
The traveler trudges on and he comes to an amazing place,
Could it be true? There are wells of salvation, full of grace!
Wells of salvation speak of God’s grace and provision,
They are expressions of the Lord’s loving devotion.
He knows the needs of all His children in the wilderness,
He bids them draw water with joy from the wells of salvation.
