And have sealed to them this fruit (Romans 15:28)

1. Paul’s part

a) In delivering the gift from the churches of Macedonia and Achaia
b) Paul hoped to perform this deed entrusted to him by the Gentile brethren

2. What the gift of the Gentile churches meant

a) This was their fruit
b) Sealing of this fruit
i) The word “seal” used in the NT time
ii) Approval
iii) Confirmed (certified)

ANTICIPATING THE MINISTRY IN ROME

I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ (Romans 15:29)

1. The Gospel of Christ

a) Defined (Romans 1:1-4)
b) Committed to the ministry of the Gospel of Christ

2. The fulness of the blessing

a) In principle the Gospel has great blessings attached
b) Fulness
i) To a person of depth
ii) To a person with vast understanding
iii) To a person who has experienced the fulness of the blessings of God
c) The Gospel
i) Not just theory
ii) Not just words
iii) Not just potential
d) Fulness in Paul’s experience
Both personal life and ministry
i) An enriched life
ii) A powerful life
iii) A fruitful life
iv) A successful ministry
v) A dynamic ministry
vi) A significant ministry
