PAUL’S OVERALL VIEW OF THE ROMAN CHRISTIANS
(Romans 15:14)

1. I myself am confident concerning you, brethren

2. Three things were noted:

a) Full of goodness (generous capacity to do good)
b) Filled with all knowledge (Having been filled)
c) Able also to admonish one another (to give counsel)

REFLECTION ON WRITING THE ROMANS EPISTLE
(Romans 15:15a)

1. I have written more boldly on some points

2. To remind you (assuming prior knowledge)

SPECIAL PERSPECTIOVE OF BEING A MINISTER OF THE LORD TO THE GENTILES
(Romans 15:15-16)

1. The grace of God given for ministry

2. To minister as a servant of Jesus Christ

a) Not the word “diakonos”
b) Nor the word “doulos”
c) But the word “leitourgos”
i) Nuance of worship
ii) A priestly word for serving

3. To the Gentiles

4. That the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable
Paul saw himself as presenting his ministry to the Gentiles as an acceptable offering to God

5. Sanctified by the Holy Spirit
