PRINCIPLES OF LIFE
LIVING AND DYING

1. Living

a) No one lives to himself (Romans 14:7a)
b) If we live, we live to the Lord (Romans 14:8a)

2. Dying

a) No one dies to himself (Romans 14:7b)
b) If we die, we die to the Lord (Romans 14:8b)

3. We are the Lord’s
Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. (Romans 14:8c)

4. Practical application in Paul’s life

a) To live is Christ (Philippians 1:21a)
b) To die is gain (Philippians 1:21b)

5. The Lordship of Christ

a) To this end Christ died and rose and lived again (Romans 14:9a)
