Message Notes

THE IMPERATIVE OF MISSIONS MINISTRY

1. Concern for those who are outside the Kingdom of God

2. This concern must be met practically

3. Questions that deserve an answer
(Romans 10:14-15a)

a) How then shall they call on Him whom they have not believed?
i) The word of God must be preached
ii) Encouragement to believe must be given
b) And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
i) The Gospel needs to be heard
ii) Through the preached word faith is made possible
c) And how will they hear without a preacher?
i) The preacher’s role must be considered
ii) He plays a vital role
d) And how shall they preach unless they are sent?
i) The reference here is to the church
ii) It is the church’s task to send out suitable preachers

4. Citing Scriptures

a) How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace
b) Who bring glad tidings of good things (Romans 10:15b, Isaiah 52:7)

5. Practical Reality

a) They have not all obeyed (Romans 10:16a)(
b) LORD, who has believed our report? Romans 10:16b)

6. Nevertheless this is true

a) Faith comes by hearing
b) Hearing by the word of God
