DOCTRINE OF SALVATION IN A NUTSHELL

1. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus

2. And believe in your heart

3. That God has raised him from the dead

4. You will be saved (Romans 10:9)

SHORT EXPLANATION

1. The heart
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness

2. The mouth
And with the mouth confession is made to salvation (Romans 10:10)

SCRIPTURAL AUTHORITY

1. Whoever believes on Him (Christ)

2. Will not be put to shame (Romans 10:11)

FURTHER ENCOURAGEMENT

1. There is no distinction

2. Between Jew and Greek (Romans 10:12)

3. Whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved (Romans 10:13)

APPLICATION IN REAL LIFE

1. This is not a formula

2. The reality of a confession of faith

a) This will be evidenced in real life
b) There will be a desire to grow
c) There will be fruit as well

3. Checking salvation

a) This is necessary
b) This is wise
c) It will serve us well
d) It will prevent mistaken salvation
e) True faith is not afraid of being examined thoroughly
