THE WRATH OF GOD

1. A doctrine taught

a) In the Old Testament

b) In the New Testament

2. A doctrine that needs to be understood

a) Relevant

b) Personal

c) Affects everyone

3. Revealed from heaven Romans 1:18

a) Revelation

b) Not a man-made teaching

4. God’s Wrath directed at:- Romans 1:18

a) All ungodliness

b) All unrighteousness

c) All who supress the truth in unrighteousness

5.The knowledge of God

a) What may be known of God

i) It is manifest in mankind

ii) God has shown it to them

b) Since the creation of the world Romans 1:20

i) His invisible attributes are clearly seen

ii) Being understood by the things that are made

iii) His eternal power

iv) His Godhead

c) They are without excuse! Romans 1:20

6. They knew God Romans 1:21

a) They did not glorify Him as God

b) Nor were thankful

c) But became futile in their thoughts

d) Their foolish hearts were darkened

e) Professing to be wise

f) They became fools

g) Changed the glory of the incorruptible God

h) Into an image made like corruptible man

i) And birds

j) And four-footed animals

k) And creeping things
