A NEW PULPIT SERIES (January-February)

1. A call to bear witness for the Lord

a) Old Testament You are My witnesses   (Isaiah 43:10)

b) New Testament You shall be My witnesses   (Acts 1:8)

2. A challenge that we cannot ignore

a) This is a word from the Lord

b) This is a great work to do for the Lord

i) As a witness

ii) As a servant of the Lord

c) We are chosen to fulfil this work

d) There are many who will be blessed because we witness faithfully

THE CONTENT OF OUR WITNESS

1. Three things are highlighted    (Isaiah 43:10)

a) Our knowledge of God

b) Our faith in God

c) Our understanding of God

2. How we may bear witness for the Lord

a) That there is no one like the Lord our God

b) That He is the Lord Almighty

A CHALLENGE FOR THE NEW YEAR

1. To bear witness for the Lord

a) Faithfully

b) Courageously

c) Consistently

2. To be a good servant of the Lord

a) In bearing witness

b) In speaking for the Lord

c) In bringing light to people who live in darkness
