(I) RECOGINSE THE PRINCIPALSHIP OF WISDOM IN OUR LIFE

1. Considered a principal thing

“Wisdom is the principal thing…” Proverbs 4:7

a) First and foremost

b) Most important in our life

c) Priority to be given

2. Wisdom should be principal in the different areas of our lives

“Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding;” Proverbs 4:1

a) In our individual life

b) In our family

c) In our work

(II) REASONS FOR MAKING WISDOM PRINCIPAL IN OUR LIVES

1. Wisdom can be seen as treasure

a) A treasure that is more precious than gold or silver

“For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.” Proverbs 3:14-15

b) It will enrich our lives

“Riches and honour are with me, Enduring riches and righteousness.” Proverbs 8:18

2. Wisdom can change our lives

a) From being simple to a person of depth

“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity?…” Proverbs 1:22

b) From being wise in our own ways to having God direct our paths

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes…” Proverbs 3:6-7

3. Wisdom can greatly bless our lives

a) Preservation

“…and she will preserve you…and she will keep you.” Proverbs 4:6

b) Honour

“…and she will promote you; She will bring you honor..,” Proverbs 4:8

c) Crown of glory

“She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.” Proverbs 4:9

(III) RESPOND TO MAKE WISDOM PRINCIPAL IN OUR LIFE

1. Go get it

“Get wisdom! Get understanding!…” Proverbs 4:5
“…Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”
Proverbs 4:7

2. Never forget

“…Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.” Proverbs 4:5

3. Never abandon      

“Do not forsake her…” Proverbs 4:6

4. Love

“…Love her…” Proverbs 4:6

5. Exalt

“Exalt her…” Proverbs 4:8

6. Embrace

“…when you embrace her.” Proverbs 4:8
