(I) THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL – A PEOPLE FOR HIMSELF

“For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.” Deuteronomy 7:6

(II) CHRISTIANS- A PEOPLE FOR HIMSELF

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light,

Who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

(III) AN APPRECIATION OF THIS DIVINE PLAN

1. Biblical and appropriate response

a) To proclaim the praises of God

b) To grow in greater appreciation of this profound Divine plan

c) To share how we have come out of darkness into God’s marvelous light

2. Personal and appropriate response

a) Standing in awe of God’s glorious plan

b) Treasuring this great plan of God

c) Determining to make praising God a very real part of our life

d) Committing ourselves to sharing the message of this Gospel of God
