(I) OUTSTANDING FEATURES OF THE LIFE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

1. Tremendous sense of Mission

a) Purpose

“For this purpose I was sent…” Mark 1:38

b) Sent

“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me…” John 4:34

2. Tremendous sense of love

a) Deep relationship of love with God

“For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things…” John 5:20

b) For His disciples

“He loved them to the end…” John 13:1

3. Tremendous sense of commitment

a) To humbly and fully obey

“He became obedient to the point of death…” Philippians 2:8

b) To trust

“He committed Himself to Him who judges righteously…” 1 Peter 3:23

c) To suffer

“He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things…” Matthew 16:21

(II) THE PROMISE OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

1. A life of liberty from sin (Romans 8:2)

2. A life of walking and living in the Spirit (Romans 8:4)

3. A life of peace (Romans 8:6)

4. A life indwelt by the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9-10)

5. A new life as sons of God (Romans 8:14-16)

(III) AN EASTER BLESSING

1. Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17)

2. Led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14)

3. Bearing significant fruit (Romans 8:23)

4. More than conquerors through Christ (Romans 8:37)
