A SPECIAL GLIMPSE OF GLORY

1. A Glimpse of the Lord in His majestic glory   (Isaiah 6:1)

a) A glimpse of the LORD sitting on a throne
b) He was high and lifted up
c) The train of His robe filled the temple (picture of majesty)

2. A glimpse of mighty angels in the Presence of the LORD   (Isaiah 6:2)

a) These angels were called “seraphim”
b) They had six wings each
i) One pair covered their face
ii) Another pair covered their feet
iii) A third pair enabled them to fly

3. The cry of the angels   (Isaiah 6:3)

a) Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts
i) Holiness is an attribute to God
ii) He is perfect and complete in His holiness
b) The whole earth is full of His glory
i) We may not be given the same glimpse of heaven
ii) But we may discover the glory of the Lord on earth

1. Attribute to the LORD glory

2. Attribute to the LORD strength   (1 Chronicles 16:28)

3. Expressed in worship   (1 Chronicles 16:29)

4. Giving thanks for His goodness   (1 Chronicles 16:31)
