BEING FEARFUL WHEN WE FACE GRAVE CHALLENGES OF LIFE

1. In trouble   Psalm 46:1

2. In earthquakes

Even though the earth be removed, And the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea   Psalm 46:2
Though the mountains shake with the swelling   Psalm 46:3

3. In storms

Though its waters roar and be troubled   Psalm 46:2

BEING UNAFRAID OF THE GRAVE CHALLENGES OF LIFE

1. Unafraid

We will not fear   Psalm 46:2

2. Unswerving trust in the Lord

a) Refuge in God God is our refuge   Psalm 46:1
b) Strength in God God is… our strength   Psalm 46:1
c) Our Help A very present help in trouble   Psalm 46:1

BEHOLDING THE WORKS OF THE LORD

1. The power of God

Who has made desolations in the earth   Psalm 46:8

2. The peace of God

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts deeply the spear in two He burns the chariots in the fire.   Psalm 46:9

BEING STILL IN OUR FAITH IN GOD

1. The command of God to be still

Be still, and know that I am God   Psalm 46:10

2. The call of God to believe in His majesty

I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.   Psalm 46:10

BEING CONFIDENT IN THE LORD

1. The presence of the Lord

The LORD of hosts is with us   Psalm 46:11

2. The protection of the Lord

The God of Jacob is our refuge   Psalm 46:11
