RECEIVING GREAT JOY

1. To be received as fully as possible

a) Mind
b) Heart
c) Spirit/ Soul

2. Ensuring that this great joy is not lost

a) Through the passing of time
b) Through complacency
c) Through forgetfulness
d) Through distraction
e) Through backsliding

ENSURING THAT THIS GREAT JOY LASTS

1. Learning to glorify God

a) It is more than just giving glory to God verbally
b) It requires much thought
i) Meditation
ii) Contemplation
iii) Till a profound comprehension is obtained
c) The challenge to discover the glory of God
i) In planning salvation
ii) In sending Jesus as a helpless baby
iii) In watching Jesus grow up to become the Saviour of the world
d) To speak with the greatest sense of awe of God
i) His love
ii) His grace
iii) His mercy

2. Learning to praise God

a) More than just giving praise verbally
b) It is to praise God again and again
i) In freshness
ii) In depth of understanding
iii) In awe of the Lord God
c) In appreciation of the Saviour of the world
i) For all who have obtained salvation
ii) For all who have chosen to follow Jesus
iii) For all who have grown in faith and life
iv) For all who have given their lives to serve Him
