THE PROBLEM OF UNBELIEF

1. It is deep

2. It is difficult

3. It is deadly

4. It must be dealt with

5. It must be defeated

6. It must be replaced with a vibrant faith in God

UNBELIEF FURTHER EXPRESSED

Exodus 4

1. Fear of Rejection by people

a) But suppose they will not believe me? (Exodus 4:1a)
b) Suppose they say, “The LORD has not appeared to you”   (Exodus 4:1b)

2. Fear of personal inadequacy/ inability

a) I am not eloquent   (Exodus 4:10a)
b) I am slow of speech and slow of tongue   (Exodus 4:10b)

3. Asking to be excused

a) Please send by the hand of whomever else You may send   (Exodus 4:13)
b) In other words, “Send somebody else… not me!”

GOD’S ANSWERS

1. God will give special power   (Exodus 4:2-9)

a) Rod changed to a snake
b) A leprous hand healed
c) Water to blood

2. God as the Maker/Creator

a) God can enable a person to speak well
b) He will personally guide and teach   (Exodus 4:11-12)

3. The Anger of God displayed

a) The anger of the Lord was kindles against Moses   (Exodus 4:14a)
b) He will give Aaron as his assistant   (Exodus 4:14b)
c) He will personally coach Moses   (Exodus 4:15-17)

THE CHALLENGING QUESTION THAT NEEDS AN ANSWER
