(I) CONCEPT OF BEING “SENT”

1. The basic concept behind the idea of the word “Apostle”

(II) CONTENT OF BEING SENT

1. By the Lord God

a) Decree

b) Blessing

2. By the Spirit

a) In-filling

b) Empowering

(III) CONSCIOUSNESS OF BEING SENT

1. To do the will of God the Father

“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” John 4:34

a) There is a will to be understood

b) There are works to be done

c) There are works that must be completed

2. To do God’s work with a sense of urgency

“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming, when no one can work” John 9:4

a) A sense of urgency

b) A sense of comprehension of time

c) A studied carefulness of applying self to complete the work that God has given us to do
