“FEAR NOT, MY SERVANT”


(I) FEAR IS ONE OF THE WORST ENEMIES

1. Fears take many forms


2. A short list of things most feared

a) Fear of speaking

b) Fear of opposition

c) Fear of people

d) Fear of Satan

e) Fear of failure

 

(II) OVERCOMING FEAR

1. Addressing the problem of fear

a) Fear not, O Jacob, My servant (Isaiah 44:2)

b) Do not fear, nor be afraid (Isaiah 44:8)


2. Battling fear

a) Remembering the Lord as our Creator (Isaiah 44:2)

b) Remembering His Word

i) Chosen by the Lord (Isaiah 44:1)

ii) Made/ formed by the Lord (Isaiah 44:2)

iii) Promise of Help (Isaiah 44:2)

iv) Promise of provision (Isaiah 44:3)

v) Promise of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 44:3)

vi) Promise of blessing on offspring (Isaiah 44:3)
