1. The Call to Consider the Example of Christ

c) He was called to be High Priest ( Hebrews 3:1 )

d) He was faithful to God who appointed Him ( Hebrews 3:2 )

i) Faithfulness of Moses as a servant ( Hebrews 3:3, 5 )

ii) Faithfulness of Jesus as Son ( Hebrews 3:6 )

2. The Challenge to walk worthy of our Calling

a) We are called to be sons of glory ( Hebrews 2:10 )

b) We are called the brethren of Christ ( Hebrews 2:12 )

c) Christ is not ashamed of us as brethren ( Hebrews 2:11 )

d) We are of the household of Christ ( Hebrews 3:6 )

e) We are to hold fast to our confidence in Christ ( Hebrews 3:6 )

f) We are to rejoice in this hope ( Hebrews 3:6 )

g) We are to be firm to the very end ( Hebrews 3:6, 14)

1. Partakers

a) We are partakers of the same heavenly calling ( Hebrews 3:1 )

b) We are partakers of Christ ( Hebrews 3:14 )

2. Exhortation

a) Let us exhort each other

b) Let us exhort each other daily ( Hebrews 3:12 )

3. Battle sin vigorously

a) A heart that can harden ( Hebrews 3:8 )

b) A heart that can go astray ( Hebrews 3:10 )

c) A heart that is capable of evil unbelief ( Hebrews 3:12 )
