Subject: The Parables of the Lord Jesus

Title: The Parables of the Kingdom of Heaven
(Short Parables)

1. The Parable of the Mustard Seed (Matthew 13:31-32)

a) Mustard seed sown in a field
b) The least of all seeds
c) When it is grown it is greater than the herbs
d) It becomes a tree so that the birds of the air can nest in its branches

2. The Parable of the Leaven (Matthew 13:33)

a) A woman took and hid it in three measures of meal
b) Till all is leavened

3. The Parable of the Treasure hidden in a field (Matthew 13:44)

a) It is like treasure hidden in a field
b) He sells all he has
c) He buys the field with the treasure

4. The Parable of the Dragnet (Matthew 13:47-49)

a) All kinds of fish caught in the net
b) They are sorted out
i) The good fish gathered in vessels
ii) The bad fish thrown away
c) The angels will come forth
i) They will separate the Just
ii) They will identify the wicked and cast them into the furnace of fire
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth
