FIGHTING BETWEEN TWO MEN

1. Cause for fight is not determined

2. Wife to the rescue

3. She attacks the genitals of the foe   (Deuteronomy 25:11)

4. She is to be severely punished

a) Her hand is to be cut off   (Deuteronomy 25:12)
b) She is not to be pitied   (Deuteronomy 25:12)
i) Possible permanent damage may be inflicted
ii) Excessive violence

CONSEQUENCES

DESTRUCTION OF THE AMALEKITES

Deuteronomy 25:17-19

1. The attack of the Amalekites   (Exodus 17:8-16)
