Thanking God For A New Batch Of Teachers And Camp Officers

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you”
Philippians 1:3

Whenever Paul thought of the Philippian Church, his heart was full of gratitude. There was a deep sense of personal thankfulness to God for his friendship with the Philippians. He did not just thank God for them on only one occasion. There was continuing gratitude to God for the Philippians. My heart is also filled with continuing joy and thanksgiving as I think of how the new batch of camp teachers and officers have served at the recent Junior camp. I thank God for each one who worked hard and made this Junior camp a success. I sat in on some of the sessions taught by the new teachers and they taught well. Truly, we want to thank God for this new batch of camp teachers, officers and helpers.

Having Fellowship In The Gospel

“For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now”
Philippians 1:5

The apostle Paul remembered how he first reached out to the Philippians, which was recorded in the text of Acts 16. Paul bore witness to a woman named Lydia and she came to know the Lord and was baptised. She persuaded Paul and company to stay at her place and she provided lodging for them. The Philippian jailer, after his conversion, also set food before Paul and Silas. They cultivated a deep sense of fellowship with each other in the gospel. The truths of the gospel were their basis of fellowship. During the past week, the gospel of Christ was also our basis of fellowship. It was the gospel that we sought to share to the children. It was the work of the gospel that many sought to support. Let’s thank God also for this fellowship in the gospel.

Great Confidence In God’s Work In Us

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6

After seeing the definite work that the Lord has started in the lives of the Philipppians, Paul was most confident that God would complete what He had started in them. Paul was confident that He would work further in their lives both to will and to do that which is for His good pleasure. The Lord would complete His work in their lives when He comes again for the Church. It is with confidence that we can see the Lord’s work in our lives as we minister and serve him. He will continue to do this work of moulding us and changing us. With this in mind, let’s continue to pray for each other.

“Always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy”
Philippians 1:4

Paul continued to pray for the Philippian Church with joy. Let’s also seek to make requests for each other with joy that the Lord will continue to do this good work that He is doing in our lives. Truly, may the Lord complete what He had started in us.
